Welcome to Midwest Power 15
November 3-5, 2017

Are Spectators Welcome at the Launch?

Yes.  Spectators can watch the rocket launches free of charge.

Are Rocket Launches Dangerous?

While our rockets can be quite large, the sport has an excellent safety record. Midwest Power will be conducted with strict adherence to the Tripoli High Power Safety Code. As spectators, you can ensure your safety by following a few simple guidelines:

    • Be attentive to activities on the launch range at all times.
    • Children must be supervised at all times.
    • If a launch is announced as a "Heads Up" flight, you and your family must stand up and pay special attention to the launch of the rocket.

What should I bring to the launch?

The following items will help you enjoy your time at Midwest Power:

    • Folding chair
    • Sunscreen
    • Water - It can get quite hot on the flight line. Be sure to stay hydrated
    • Binoculars - Some flights will disappear from view and binoculars will help to follow the rocket to apogee

Can my kids launch Estes style rockets without registering?

Kids (under 18) can launch rockets with A thru C motors free of charge. If you are 18 yrs or older you must register to fly any and all rockets
